Library Seeks Head of Technical Services
The J. Murrey Atkins Library at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte is seeking a Head of Technical Services. The successful candidate will provide leadership/managerial direction and oversight for Technical Services operations and services within the Collections & Technical Services Department. Directly supervises one librarian and 4 support staff with a total staff of 25. More Details

Improvements made to Atkins Express
The Atkins Library is pleased to announce that it has decided
to continue Atkins Express: Your Library.Delivered. as a
permanent service for UNC Charlotte Faculty, Staff and Students. With the
continuation of service, the library is pleased to also announce the following
improvements to the services offered through Atkins Express:

PhD Students may now request articles through the
Article Delivery Service. In response to feedback and increased
usage by PhD students at UNC Charlotte, PhD students may now request that articles
from the library's periodical collections are scanned and
posted to their Interlibrary Loan accounts.

Book Retrieval and
Book Delivery requests can now be made directly in the catalog.
Students, Faculty and Staff may now place their retrieval and delivery
requests directly in the catalog by clicking the "Request" button. No
more forms that require copying and pasting bibliographic information!

Changes made to Library News
The Atkins Library is pleased to announce that it
has made a few changes to the library news section of its website. With these
changes, content will be added with more frequency, covering areas such as
new books, spotlights on particular resources, announcements and general news stories.
We are pleased to make these changes and welcome any feedback.
