Looking for a Quiet Place to Study?

The Atkins Library has several areas designated as Quiet Zones for quiet study.  Just look for the QZ sign in the following locations: Ground Floor - Compact Shelving Area 1st Floor - Halton Reading Room Floors 5, 6 and 7 Floor 8 - Large Quiet Study Room (no keyboard use) Quiet Zones are meant for quiet study and no cell phones or talking are allowed.  Please report any violations to the security office on the 1st floor.

Just look for the QZ sign

Power Up! at the Library during extended hours, December 12 - 17

Writing Resource Center opening location in Library on October 26th

The Writing Resources Center will begin offering peer tutoring in Atkins Library starting Sunday, October 26th.

The WRC-Atkins provides one-to-one writing instruction for students in all majors, first-year to graduate. Trained tutors assist you at all stages of the writing process, from understanding the assignment through revision of the final draft. You need not have a paper written in advance, but bring your ideas and questions. Be sure to bring your assignment instructions, related reading, notes, and research—any material to assist in developing your writing.

Tutorials begin on the hour and last for 45 minutes. No need to make an appointment in advance.

Location - Room 109, left of the Reference Desk.

Wednesday 3:00-5:00
