Can non-students check out materials?

Yes. Atkins Library offers a Community Borrower's card for residents of North Carolina and South Carolina, over the age of 18, who are not associated with the University. A valid NC or SC driver's license is required. This card allows a borrower to checkout a maximum of six items at a time for
a loan period of 21 days. These items may be renewed according to existing renewal guidelines. Privileges do not include Interlibrary Loans, recalls, or off campus electronic access. The cost for this card $35.00 per year. (Citizens 65 years or older $15.00.
