Purpose: The Atkins Library Public Address system
is intended primarily for giving instructions to library patrons and staff
regarding building or weather emergencies and daily closing of the Atkins
building.
The Atkins Library Public Address System may be used by
authorized Library Staff for:
- Building emergencies.
- Weather emergencies.
- Building closing announcements.
- Important Library business, including announcements for
overdue in-house reserves. Library business announcements are to be made
at the discretion of Library Public Service Desk Supervisors. Such
announcements should be very brief and kept to a minimum.
Note: Library patron requests for
Public Address announcements due to personal emergencies must be cleared through
UNCC Campus Police before authorized Library Staff can fulfill requests.
Authorized Library Staff include Library Security Officers and Public Service
Desk Supervisors.
