Cell phones are permitted in the library. It is expected, however, that people using cell phones be respectful of others. Please make sure that your cell phone ringer is silenced (set to vibrate) and that any calls are very short and as quiet as possible. If you need to have an extended conversation, please go outside the library to do so.

No phone calls are permitted in the Library’s designated quiet areas:

• Ground Floor Compact Shelving Area
• Floor 1: Dale Halton Reading Room and hallways adjacent to staff offices
• Floor 5, 6 and 7: Study Areas Adjacent to Book Stacks
• Floor 8: Large Quiet Study Room (no keyboard use)

When disruptive behavior is identified, a library staff member will take the appropriate steps to resolve the situation. Thank you for adhering to our telephone policy!
